PROFESSOR DR SAHZIA QURESHI NEW PRINCIPAL OF PULC PUNJAB UNIVERSITY LAW COLLEGE LAHORE
Professor Shazia Qureshi has been appointed as principal of (PULC) Punjab University Law College. She is the first lady principal of Punjab University Law College in its 146 years old history. She is PhD in law from UK and she completed its PhD degree in just 3 years which was a an extra ordinary achievement on her part. Punjab University Law College is the oldest law school in Pakistan which was established in 1868. Professor Dil Muhammad ex principal Punjab University Law college retired in 2007 and till then no permanent principal was appointed in Punjab University Law College.
200 SCHOOLS IN LAHORE WITH JUST ONE TEACHER EACH
According Yousaf Abbasi education reporter daily express only one teacher is appointed in more than 200 primary schools in Lahore. These schools are located in Wahga tow and Nishtar town Lahore. Single teacher teaches the students of all classes in one class room, due to which large number of parents are admitting their children in private schools. According to sources of education department in some schools two teachers has been appointed. No teacher want to join these schools and strength of students in such schools is very low.
CADET COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY IN THAR
Sindh government has decided to establish a cadet college and a university in Thar. This decision was taken i a meeting presided by Asif Ali Zardari former President of Pakistan.

Department of literacy and informal basic education Punjab will will give admission to 60000 students in its 6389 schools all over the Punjab during 2014. According to secretary literacy at least 5 children will be granted admission in every school of the department during the current year due to enrollment emergency enforced by Punjab government .
