NTS National Testing Service- NAT Associated Universities

NTS or National testing service organizes different types of tests for colleges and universities admissions and scholarships and recruitment process. This is an autonomous organization. NTS tests have become mandatory for admission in many private and public sector educational institutions. The list of such institutions is included in this article.

Lot of public and private sector organizations have made it compulsory for job seekers to pass NTS test for getting job in their organizations. National testing service is a member of the International Association for Educational Assessment (USA). NTS facilitates both the individual students and educational institutes NTS has become most transparent and credible testing service in Pakistan due to its standardized and quality testing mechanism. NTS conducts following two type of tests  .
1- Paper based test (PBT)
2-Computer-based tests (CBT)
NTS is offering following tests in Pakistan.

1-National Aptitude Test (NAT)

Candidates who want to get admission in NTS affiliated institutions will have to pass the NAT (National Aptitude Test). The result of this test remains valid for the period of one year only. Total marks of the test will be 100. The successful candidates will be eligible for admission  to all NTS associated institutes in their relevant subject group. Candidates will apply to their desired college or university along with attested photocopy of NAT result card.

2-Graduate Assessment Test-General (GAT – General)

GATâ„¢ General is a GRE type test. This test is conducted for M Phil admission in Pakistan. Candidates of HEC scholarships schemes will also have to qualify this test. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) which is the biggest client of NTS has assigned it to design this test. GATâ„¢ General result exists for two years. Only the students with sixteen years of education can appear in this test. Candidates can also appear in this test for improving their previous GATâ„¢ score. Students will have to qualify other specified criteria of the Universities / HEC schemes too. Candidates can not bring mobile phones in the examination centers. .

3-Graduate Assessment Test-Subject (GAT – Subject)

GAT-Subject (Graduate Assessment Test) is mandatory requirement for admission in PHD program in Pakistan as per HEC rules. GAT-Subject is also a GRE type test which evaluates the suitability of students for admission in doctorate program. The result of this test can be utilized for two years. Only the students with eighteen years education can apply for this test. You can also appear in the test for improving your last score. 4-TOEFL-ITP

TOEFL-ITP test is designed to evaluate your proficiency in English language. This test can be helpful for academic & institutional placements as well as for progress evaluation. TOEFL-ITP measures the abilities of individuals in these three fields

General Reading

5-TOEIC A1 English

TOEIC A1 English test is for those individuals who want to get spouse visa of UK. Its a UK border agency (UKBA) approved test.

6-TOEIC-L&R

The TOEIC (Test of English for international communication) L&R test is designed for those individuals who want to improve their English language skills. TOEIC-L&R test evaluates candidates’ skills in following two areas
1-Listening Comprehension- It has three parts i.e. photographs, question-response and short conversations.
2-Reading

7-TOEIC-S&W

The TOEIC (Test of English for international communication) Speaking and Writing test is designed to measure  your English language skills in the areas of writing and speaking.Its a computer based test (CBT).
