Revised Government Strategy For Distribution of Free Laptops Under PM & CM Schemes 2014Â
As per media news government has decided to distribute laptops under Prime Minister and chief minister free laptop distribution scheme silently without organizing big functions attended by senior government officials. Now laptops will be distributed through concern institutions. Insaf students federation and PTI had decided to raise “go Nawaz go” slogans in laptop distribution functions so to avoid any clash between MSF and ISF government has taken this decision.Now 100,000 laptops will be handed over to Head of Departments, Chairmen, Deans, Directors, Principals and Vice Chancellors for distribution in their concerned universities and colleges.
In the past big functions were organized at public places and educational institution for this purpose and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Hamza Shahbaz used to distribute laptops, due to which government also had to face criticism. To avoid any embarrassing situation and clash between student groups the strategy has been changed this year. Universities will be sent laptops as per their demand list for distribution purpose. In the first stage laptops will be distributed among the Doctorate. M.Phil and MS level students of Women colleges and renowned universities and this stage will start from next week.
6500 machines have been already handed over to Punjab University administration. As per daily dunya news in some institutions laptops have already been distributed silently without conducting any functions. Studysolutions.pk welcome this decision by government as students have been waiting 6 months. But remember students that you will have to validate your names on HEC website. Last date to validate your name(Only for BS and Master students) on HEC website is 31st October, 2014.
