Distribution of Free laptops Will Be Started Within 10 Days
This news was published in all national papers. So now we can hope that after so much delay free laptops distribution will be started again. We congratulate the matric students who have got above 78 % marks and government too who has taken this initiative. Last month same minister announced that free laptops distribution will be started from 19th August, 2014 but due to long marches and flood government could not implement its decision. We hope that this time laptops will be distributed as per announcement of provincial minister. Government should also announce the revised schedule for this purpose.
Future of CM Â & PM’s Free Laptop Distribution SchemesÂ
Large number of students are still asking that what will be the future of free laptop distribution scheme in case of change of government. We explained in one of our post that usually new government does not carry on schemes of previous governments. But many students argued that this scheme is under HEC then how it can be stopped and how it is possible that the laptops which government has already imported will not be distributed among students. In 1993 when PML government resigned the yellow cabs were distributed among different departments and even motorway construction was stopped. So there is a possibility that laptops may be distributed among government departments to improve their infrastructure.
As far as HEC is concerned, it is also under government and it has to obey the orders of government. I just remember one scheme i.e Benazir income support program which was not stopped by the next government. But it is still our guess based on our past history. At present it seems that political temperature is reducing in the country and there are chances of agreement between opposition and government. In this case all the schemes will continue. Many visitors are also asking questions about the future of apna ghar, fee reimbursement and yellow cab schemes too. Our answer is same for all these schemes.
