Bachelor of Arts BA is a two year undergraduate program after intermediate. Many universities are also offering four years honor Bachelor of Arts program which is considered equivalent to MA degree. AIOU and VU are offering distance learning program of Bachelor of Arts. Students can also appear in BA exam as private candidates. Bachelor of Arts program is available both in Urdu and English. It is the most popular program among students after intermediate and A level. This program opens lot of doors of employment opportunities for students as compered to other bachelor programs.

Suggestions for CSS & PMS Candidates
If you want to appear in CSS or PMS exams after graduation, then you should take those subjects in BA which you want to opt in CSS or PMS exams. You should also take the examination of all subjects in English. Take Pakistan Studies, Islamic Studies and English compulsory seriously. Don’t remember the questions by heart understand the concepts and key matter and write it in your own words as creative writing skill in English language plays an important role in CSS exam.

There was a time when BA was considered sufficient degree for a successful career but now a days due to increasing competition, one must at least go for Master degree. But for a gazetted government jobs still BA is  minimum required degree. You can appear all in competitive exams after BA. But if you decide to appear in competitive exam after BA then do appear in any MA exam as private candidate.  You may also apply for non gazetted government jobs after BA. But give special emphasis on English and General Knowledge. For almost all private organizations BA is a sufficient degree for any entry level desk job.
