Breaking News-Government of Punjab Will Waive Off  The Fee of 65000 Students of Flood Affected Areas of Province
As per daily dunya’s report Punjab government is considering to waive off the tuition fee of 30 thousands students of flood affected area of central Punjab. Recent flood is one the worst flood in the history of Pakistan. Large number of people have lost their every thing in this flood. Many parents are even unable to pay the fees of their children. To help such students Punjab government is considering to launch a provincial fee reimbursement scheme for one year. At present its just a proposed scheme but it is expected that soon government will allocate funds for this scheme to facilitate the students of these affected areas. Flood water is now entering in Southern Punjab and if the situation will deteriorate in this area too then government will waive off the tuition fees 65000 students and students of Southern Punjab will also be given subsidy in fees of government colleges and universities.
Government is also considering to give subsidy in hostel dues. As per higher education department Punjab government is going to write letter to vice chancellors of Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan, University of Gujrat, University of Sargodha and University of Punjab in this regard.These vice chancellors will be directed through official letters for not to receive tuition fee from the students who are resident of flood areas.
