Provincial government of Khyber Pakhtukhwa has allocated the budget of 500 million rupees for this scheme. In the first stage 1500 students of 20 schools of Peshawar will get benefit from this scheme. Parents will be given fee discount vouchers and they can select the school of their choice for their kids. It is an important initiative by KPK government for promotion of education in remote areas of province. Drop out rate will reduce in schools due to this scheme and children of poor people will be able to continue their education.
Studysolutions.pk welcomes this pro education initiative by provincial government, but still there is a need of increasing the budget allocated for this scheme. KPK government has already launched KPK CM’s education endowment fund scholarship program 2014, Sasta aata – ghee package through insaf cards and Tameer-e-School Program. The target of all these programs are people living below the poverty line.
